Editing an aircraft type

Use the Aircraft Types page in the Platform Configuration at Configuration > Aircraft Types to configure various settings related to your SynapseMX account.

To edit an existing Aircraft Type, click the Aircraft Type's title or the Edit button on the aircraft type card you want to change.

That will take you to a screen where you can edit the details for your new aircraft type.

The Details tab

• Manufacturer: The name of the aircraft manufacturer (required)
• Type: Details that explain the model and series for this aircraft type (required)

The Image tab

• If desired, you can upload an image of the Aircraft Type that will be used when individual Aircraft tail number images are not available.

The Settings tab

• Temporarily disable: If you disable the Aircraft Type, it prevents users from being able to select the Aircraft Type from any of the dropdown menus elsewhere in the app. It will still show up in the Aircraft Types list when the filter is set to show inactive Aircraft Types.
• Permanently remove: If you want to remove the Aircraft Type completely. See Removing an Aircraft Type for more details.

Click Save when finished.

You will be returned to the Aircraft Types listing, where your updated Aircraft Type will be ready for use. NOTE: You may need to adjust your filters to see the change(s).
